Placing a Bid on a Foreclosure Property

You can save 5% by being present the day of the sale.

Once the property is sold at the Union County courthouse,

you only have ten days to make an upset bid.

The upset bid must be 5% above the auction bid.

You must plan to get a lawyer to make a complete title check

before you actually purchase the foreclosure.

Eleven days after the sale date, it is too late.

The foreclosure belongs to someone else at that point.

When placing your bid you do have to turn in a deposit

to the Union County courthouse  of 5% of the bid price.

After placing a bid, there is a 10 day waiting period

to make sure nobody upsets your bid.
